FRONT BUMPER (for Hatchback): Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
1. Apply protective tape, as shown in the illustration.

2. Remove the 8 screws.
3. Remove the 2 screw grommets.
4. Remove the 7 clips.

5. w/ Fog Light:
  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 6 claws.
  2. Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors and remove the front bumper cover.

6. w/o Fog Light:
  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 6 claws and remove the front bumper cover.

7. Remove the 2 clips and the screw grommet.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH
1. Remove the screw.
2. Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper side retainer.

REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER ABSORBER
1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and remove the radiator support upper absorber.

REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL LH
1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the radiator side air seal.

REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the wiring harness clamp.
2. Remove the thermistor.

REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH
1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the radiator support extension.

REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE ROOM WIRE
1. w/ Fog Light:
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 7 wiring harness clamps.

2. w/o Fog Light:
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 6 wiring harness clamps.

REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 4 nuts, the 6 bolts and the front bumper reinforcement.

REMOVE FRONT BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET
HINT:

Use the same procedure for both sides.
1. Remove the 2 nuts and the front bumper stone deflector bracket.

REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts and the windshield washer jar.
