BACK DOOR (for Hatchback): Adjustment

HINT:

Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge onto the vehicle body and door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute standard bolts (with washers) for the centering bolts when making adjustments.
For bolts without torque specifications, check the standard bolt table (See SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

INSPECT BACK DOOR

Check that the clearance measurements are within the standard ranges.

ADJUST BACK DOOR
1. Adjust the door position.
  1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
    Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 8.9 ft.*lbf)

2. Adjust the striker position.
  1. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting bolts and hitting the striker with a plastic hammer.
  2. Tighten the striker mounting bolts after the adjustment.
    Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 8.9 in.*lbf)
