REAR DOOR LOCK (for Sedan): Inspection

- INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
- w/ Power door lock:
Check the operation.
- Apply battery voltage to the rear door lock and check the operation of the door lock motor.
Standard
CONNECTOR TERMINAL REFERENCE CHARTMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 4
Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1Locks Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1
Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 4Unlocks If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock.
- Apply battery voltage to the rear door lock and check the operation of the door lock motor.
- Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition 6-9 Locked 10 kΩ or higher 6-9 Unlocked Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in the table below.
- w/ Power door lock:

- w/Power door lock:
Check the operation.
- Apply battery voltage to the rear door lock and check the operation of the door lock motor.
