Seat Heater Switch: Inspection

INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH

Measure the resistance of the seat heater switch when the switch is operated (see Fig 1).

Standard resistance

for LH

LH SEAT HEATER SWITCH-RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
5 (IG) - 6 (LH)	ON	Below 1 Ω
5 (IG) - 6 (LH)	OFF	10 kΩ or higher

for RH

RH SEAT HEATER SWITCH-RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

4 (IG) - 3 (RH)	ON	Below 1 Ω
4 (IG) - 3 (RH)	OFF	10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

Check that the seat heater switch indicator light illuminates when the switch is operated (see Fig 2).

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

Check that the seat heater switch illuminates (see Fig 3).
