Front Seat Cushion Heater: Inspection

INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

Measure the resistance of the seat cushion heater.

Standard resistance

SEAT CUSHION HEATER-RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
A1 - B6	Seat cushion heater temperature 20°C (68°F)	Below 1 Ω
A1 - A2	Seat cushion heater temperature 20°C (68°F)	Approx. 5.20 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater assembly.

Heat the thermostat with a light.

Measure the resistance of the seat cushion heater (see Fig 1).

Standard resistance

SEAT CUSHION HEATER-RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION (THERMOSTAT HEATED)

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
B4 - B6	Seat heater temperature 20°C (68°F)	Approx. 4.85 Ω
B4 - B6	Seat heater temperature 30°C (86°F)	Approx. 5.00 Ω
B4 - B6	Seat heater temperature 30°C (86°F)	Approx. 5.15 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater assembly.
