Rear Shock Absorber: Removal

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

REMOVE REAR WHEEL
REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH
1. Support the No. 2 suspension arm LH with a jack.
  NOTE: Place a wooden or rubber block between the jack and arm.

2. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts from the suspension member and axle carrier.
3. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the shock absorber with the bracket.

4. Remove the nut and bolt from the shock absorber upper side.

5. Remove the shock absorber from the vehicle.
6. Remove the nut and bolt from the bracket.
  HINT:
  
  While fixing the nut in place, loosen and remove the bolt.
