Wiper Switch: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY (See appropriate Step(s) under  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (See appropriate step(s) under  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER (See appropriate step(s) under  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER (See appropriate step(s) under  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connectors.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the wiper switch.
      NOTE: Do not push the claw with excessive force as damage may occur.
