On-Vehicle Inspection

CHECK COMPRESSOR LOCK SENSOR

Disconnect the connector.

Measure the resistance of the sensor.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
1 - 2	20°C (68°F)	570 to 1050 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the compressor.

CHECK MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the connector.

Apply battery voltage to the clutch and check operation of the clutch.

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP

MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 3 Battery negative (-) --> Body ground	Magnet clutch is engaged

If the result is not as specified, replace the compressor.
