Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE 
    1. Remove the A/C and AM1 fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. INSPECT IG1 NO. 2 RELAY 
    1. Remove the IG1 NO. 2 relay from the cowl side junction block LH.
    2. Measure the resistance of the relay.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω
      (When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

    NG: REPLACE IG1 NO. 2 RELAY

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A47 A/C amplifier connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      IG (A47-22) - GND (A47-12) Ignition Switch ON 10 to 14 V

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      IG (A47-22) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      GND (A47-12) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
