Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Toyota RAV4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: It is necessary to register an ID code after replacing the tire pressure monitor valve and/or the tire pressure warning ECU (see REGISTRATION ).
  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the E13 DLC3 connector.
    2. Disconnect the E56 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E56-12 (TC) - E13-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
      E13-4 (CG) - Body ground

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
