Rear Brake Flexible Hose: Removal

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
  3. REMOVE REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE 
    1. Remove the union bolt and gasket and separate the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.

      HINT:

      Use a container to collect the brake fluid as it drains out.

    2. Using a union nut wrench, separate the brake tube while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      HINT:

      Use a container to collect the brake fluid as it drains out.

    3. Remove the clip and flexible hose.
  4. REMOVE REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE 
    1. Using a union nut wrench, separate the brake tubes while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      HINT:

      Use a container to collect the brake fluid as it drains out.

    2. Remove the 2 clips and flexible hose.
