Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE (DOME, GAUGE) 
    1. Remove the DOME fuse from engine room relay block No. 2.
    2. Fig 1: Identifying DOME And GAUGE Fuse

    3. Remove the GAUGE fuse from the main body ECU.
    4. Measure the resistance.

      Standard Resistance: 

      Below 1 Ω 

    5. Reinstall the fuse.

    NG: CHECK SHORT CIRCUIT IN COMPONENTS AND WIRES CONNECTED TO FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the E13 combination meter connector.

    3. Measure the resistance.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      E13-21 (ES) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the voltage.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE REFERENCE

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      E13-2 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14V
      E13-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14V
    5. Reconnect the combination meter connector.

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
