How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

Techstream can be used at steps  4,  8 and  10.

1. Vehicle Brought to Workshop 
2. Customer Problem Analysis 
3. Check Tire Pressure Warning Light and Indicator Condition 
   1. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
   2. Record the condition of the tire pressure warning light on the combination meter assembly.
   3. Refer to the  5"TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT AND INDICATOR CHART" article of the DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM for checking the condition of the tire pressure warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
4. DTC Check and Clear 

   DTC is output: Go to step 5 

   DTC is not output:  Go to step  6

5. DTC Chart 

   Go to step  8

6. Problem Symptom Confirmation 

   Symptom does not occur: Symptom simulation 

   Symptom occurs: Go to step 7

8. Circuit Inspection 
   1. Refer to PRECAUTION  .
   2. Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION  .
   3. Set the tire pressures to the appropriate specified values.
   4. Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION  ).
   5. Perform test mode procedure (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE  ).
      1. Check for a DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
      2. Clear the DTC.
      3. Identify the transmitter corresponding to a DTC.
   6. Perform registration of the transmitter ID (See REGISTRATION  ).
   7. Check the terminals of ECU (See TERMINALS OF ECU  ).
   8. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST  .
9. Repair 
10. Confirmation Test 
    1. Check for a DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
    2. Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION  ).
    3. Confirm that the initialization has been completed.
