FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER 
    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the seat track cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the inner seat track bracket cover.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.

    3. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent the airbag and seat belt pretensioner from deploying (See PRECAUTION ).
    6. Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the front seat assembly.
