Front Door Belt Moulding: Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  3. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  4. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  7. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Fully open the front door glass.
    2. Put protective tape around the front door belt moulding assembly.

    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 5 claws, and remove the front door belt moulding assembly.

      HINT:

      Tape the remover tip before use.

      NOTE: Be careful when removing the moulding as there are claws attached to the front and rear ends of the moulding.
