Data List / Active Test

  1. READ DATA LIST 

    HINT:

    Using Techstream DATA LIST allows switch, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the DATA LIST early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

    1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Turn Techstream on.
    4. Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on Techstream.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    Using Techstream to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Turn Techstream on.
    4. Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on Techstream.
