Ignition Key Cylinder Light: Inspection

  1. INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the transponder key amplifier connector.
    2. Check that the ignition key cylinder light comes on.

      OK 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)      		 Ignition key cylinder light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the transponder key amplifier.
