Brake Stroke Simulator Cylinder: Removal

  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the windshield wiper motor and link (see REMOVAL ).

      HINT:

      Refer to the procedures from the removal of the front wiper arm LH/RH up until the removal of the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

  2. SET BRAKE CONTROL (ECB) OFF (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE OUTER FRONT COWL TOP PANEL SUBASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE: Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.
  5. REMOVE BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using SST, disconnect the 2 brake tubes from the brake simulator cylinder.

      SST 09023-00101

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and brake stroke simulator cylinder with bracket.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts, connector clamp and bracket from the brake stroke simulator cylinder.
    5. Remove the 2 stud bolts from the brake stroke simulator cylinder.
