Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration (see INITIALIZATION  ).
  1. INSPECT BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the brake actuator connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the actuator.

      HINT:

      Check the brake actuator when it is cooled down.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A2-20 (SMC1) - A2-7 (BS2) 14.6 to 24.6 Ω
      A2-6 (SMC2) - A2-19(BS1) 14.6 to 24.6 Ω
      A2-8 (FR+) - A2-5 (FR-) 3.5 to 4.3 Ω
      A2-22 (FR+) - A2-21 (FR-) 3.5 to 4.3 Ω
      A2-13 (FL+) - A2-14(FL-) 3.5 to 4.3 Ω
      A2-27 (FL+) - A2-28 (FL-) 3.5 to 4.3 Ω
      A2-12 (RR+) - A2-11 (RR-) 3.5 to 4.3 Ω
      A2-10 (RL+) - A2-9(RL-) 3.5 to 4.3 Ω

    NG: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK SKID CONTROL ECU (VALVE VOLTAGE)

    1. Measure the voltage of the ECU connector.

      Standard voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE CHART

      S7-4 (SMC1) - Body ground Power switch ON (READY)
      Brake pedal released
      Below 10 to 14 V
      S10-3 (SMC2) - Body ground Power switch ON (READY)

    OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
