Air Conditioning Unit: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE AIR DUCT NO.1 
    1. Release the 3 claw fittings, remove the air duct No.1.

  2. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT CENTER 
    1. Release the 4 claw fittings, remove the heater to register duct center.

  3. REMOVE AIR OUTLET CONTROL SERVO MOTOR 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and air outlet control servomotor.

  4. REMOVE WIRING AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Release the 2 claw fittings, remove the wiring air conditioning harness sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE AIR MIX CONTROL SERVO MOTOR 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and air mix control servomotor.

  6. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and heater pipe cover.

    2. Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE BLOWER RESISTOR (Manual Air Conditioning) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and blower resistor.

  8. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL (Auto Air Conditioning) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and blower motor control.

  9. REMOVE WIRING AIR INDICATOR HARNESS NO.2 SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the wiring air indicator harness No.2 sub-assembly from the blower motor control.
  10. REMOVE COOLER NO.1 PACKING 
    1. Remove the cooler No.1 packing.

  11. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a hexagon wrench 4 mm (0.16 in.) remove the 2 hexagon bolts and air conditioning tube assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioner tube assembly.
  12. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE 
    1. Remove the cooler expansion valve.

  13. REMOVE COOLER EVAPORATOR NO.1 SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Release the 4 claw fittings and remove the air duct sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 11 screws and evaporator cover.
    3. Remove the cooler evaporator No.1 sub-assembly from the air conditioner radiator assembly.

    4. Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator No.1 sub-assembly.
