FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Installation

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag) 
    1. Place the front seat assembly in the vehicle and align the adjuster pin with the hole on the vehicle side.
      NOTE: When installing the passenger side front seat assembly, be careful not to step on the yaw rate sensor mounted on the floor under the seat.
    2. Connect the connector.
    3. Install the clamp.
    4. Connect the negative battery terminal.
    5. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    6. Temporarily install the front side of the front seat assembly with the 2 bolts.
    7. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    8. Temporarily install the rear side of the front seat assembly with the 2 bolts.
    9. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    10. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    11. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    12. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) 
    1. Place the front seat assembly in the vehicle and align the adjuster pin with the hole on the vehicle side.
      NOTE: When installing the passenger side front seat assembly, be careful not to step on the yaw rate sensor mounted on the floor under the seat.
    2. Connect the connector.
    3. Install the clamp.
    4. Connect the negative battery terminal.
    5. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    6. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    7. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    8. Temporarily install the rear side of the front seat assembly with the 2 bolts.
    9. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    10. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    11. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    12. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER RH 
  4. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER LH 
  5. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER FRONT LH 
  6. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER FRONT LH 
  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal (See INITIALIZATION ).

  8. INSPECT POWER SEAT OPERATION (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION   ) 
  9. INSPECT SEAT HEATER OPERATION (w/ Seat Heater System) 
  10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (See DISPOSAL )
