Inspection Procedure
- READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER
- Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn the intelligent tester main switch on.
- Select FUEL LID in the DATA LIST and read the tester display.TERMINAL DISPLAY AND NORMAL CONDITION
Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note FUEL LID Fuel lid courtesy switch: OPEN or CLOSE OPEN: Fuel lid is opened
CLOSE: Fuel lid is not closed- OK: OPEN or CLOSE appears on the screen according to the fuel lid condition.
NG: Go to step 2
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- INSPECT FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH
- Remove the fuel lid courtesy switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Courtesy switch pushed (Fuel lid closed) Below 1 Ω Courtesy switch free (Fuel lid open) 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPLACE FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the H12 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition F16-1 - H12-13 (LIDO) Always Below 1 Ω F16-1 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
