Seat Heater Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH 
    1. Inspect the driver side seat heater switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Resistance 

        RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        3(IG) - 4(LH) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        3(IG) - 4(LH) ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

      2. Turn the seat heater switch on and check if that the seat heater switch indicator comes on.

        OK 

        MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Measurement Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3(IG)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6(E)        		 ON Comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or seat heater switch.

      3. Check if that the seat heater switch comes on.

        OK 

        MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Measurement Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1(ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2(ILL-)        		 Always Comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or seat heater switch.

    2. Inspect the front passenger side seat heater switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Resistance 

        TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        3(IG) - 4(RH) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        3(IG) - 4(RH) ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

      2. Turn the seat heater switch on and check that the seat heater switch indicator comes on.

        OK 

        MEASUREMENT CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Measurement Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3(IG)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6(E)        		 ON Comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or seat heater switch.

      3. Check if the seat heater switch comes on.

        OK 

        MEASUREMENT CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Measurement Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1(ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2(ILL-)        		 Always Comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or seat heater switch.
