Rear Bumper: Removal

  1. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
  2. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LH (w/ Mudguard) 
    1. Remove the 3 clips, screw and quarter panel mudguard sub-assembly rear LH.
  3. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR RH (w/ Mudguard)

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws, 2 clips and rear bumper side seal RH.

  5. REMOVE FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and 2 clips.
    2. Release the claw and remove the fuel tank filler pipe protector.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER STOPPER UPPER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and rear bumper stopper upper.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws, 2 clips and 4 nuts.

    2. Insert a screwdriver with its tip taped between the rear bumper cover and rear bumper cover retainer. Raise the rear bumper cover and pull it forward to disengage the claw.

    3. Put protective tape under the quarter panel.

    4. Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, push down on the claw of the rear bumper cover as shown in the illustration. Raise the rear bumper cover and pull it forward to disengage the claw.
    5. Raise the rear bumper cover and pull it forward to disengage the claw. Remove the rear bumper cover.
