Inspection Procedure

1. Operate the intelligent tester according to the steps on the display and select "ACTIVE TEST".

   METER

   Item	Test Details	Diagnostic Note
   POWER METER	0 / 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 kW	Confirm that the vehicle is stopped, engine idling.

   OK: Needle indication is normal. 

NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the C12 and H12 connectors.

2. Measure the resistance according to value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance 

   RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C12-8 (POWER METER) - H12-4 (PMET)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C12-8 (POWER METER) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Check the input signal waveform.
   1. Remove the combination meter assembly with the connector still connected.

   2. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminal H12-4 (PMET) and body ground.

   3. Start the engine.
   4. Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.
      WAVEFORM REFERENCE CHART
      
      

      Item	Condition
      Tool setting	1 V/DIV., 2 μs/DIV.
      Vehicle condition	Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

NG: GO TO   HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
