Front Bumper: Replacement

HINT:

• The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
• A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSY 
   1. Remove the 2 bolts and clip.
   2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the radiator grille.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
   1. Remove the 2 screws.
   2. Partially remove the fender liner.

   HINT:

   It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed in step  4.

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH 

   HINT:

   Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER 
   1. Remove the 2 screws and 2 clips.
   2. Disengage the hook, and remove the bumper cover.
   3. w/ Fog lamp:

      Disconnect the fog lamp connectors.

5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
   1. Using a clip remover, disconnect the wire harness clamp.
   2. Remove the 4 nuts and reinforcement.

7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
9. REMOVE FRONT LH SPOILER SUB-ASSY (w/ FRONT SPOILER) 
   1. Remove the screw and 4 retainers.
   2. Disengage the clip and spoiler.
10. REMOVE FRONT RH SPOILER SUB-ASSY (w/ FRONT SPOILER) 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for LH side.

11. REMOVE FOG LAMP ASSY LH (w/ FOG LAMP) 
12. REMOVE FOG LAMP ASSY RH (w/ FOG LAMP) 
13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o FOG LAMP) 
14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (w/o FOG LAMP) 
15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and side support.
16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and side support.
17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Install the reinforcement with the 4 nuts.

       Torque: 36 N.m (367 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf) 

18. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSY 
    1. Install the radiator grille with the 2 bolts and clip.

       Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in..lbf)
