Brake Pedal: Removal

  1. REMOVE METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS 
    1. Remove the clip, push rod clevis pin and wave washer, and disconnect the push rod clevis from the brake pedal.
  4. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt from the brake pedal support.
    2. Disconnect the stop light switch connector.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the brake pedal shaft nut from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
    2. Remove the brake pedal sub-assembly and 2 bushes.
  6. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Loosen the stop light switch lock nut.
    2. Remove the stop light switch assembly from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL PAD 
    1. Remove the brake pedal pad from the brake pedal sub-assembly.
