Front Passenger Airbag Assembly: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION " thoroughly before servicing (see ).
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

  3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the screw from the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.
    2. Pull the glove compartment door assembly to remove it.

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the front passenger airbag assembly.
    NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  5. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and the 2 nuts.
    2. Remove the front passenger airbag assembly.
