Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK BUZZER 
    1. Operate the buzzer and check that the buzzer for seat belt warning, key reminder warning and light reminder warning sound normally.

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      All buzzer does not sound. A
      Seat belt warning does not sound. B
      Key/Light reminder warning does not sound. C

    B: GO TO step 2 

    C:  GO TO step  4

    A: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disconnect the B6 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      B6-5 - B6-6 Seat belt is fastened 10 Ω or higher
      B6-5 - B6-6 Seat belt is not fastened Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

    OK: GO TO Next Step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the C9 and B6 connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      C9-12 - B6-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      C9-12 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B6-6 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

  4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the C9 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      C9-16 - Body ground Ignition key is not inserted 10 kΩ or higher
      C9-16 - Body ground Ignition key is inserted Below 1 Ω

    NG:  GO TO step  6

    OK: GO TO Next Step 

  5. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the C9 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      C9-17 - Body ground Driver side door is open 10 kΩ or higher
      C9-17 - Body ground Driver side door is closed Below 1 Ω

    NG:  GO TO step  7

    OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

  6. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the U1 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      U1-1 - U1-2 Ignition key is inserted 10 kΩ or higher
      U1-1 - U1-2 Ignition key is not inserted Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT) 

  7. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the D4 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      D4-1 - Body ground Driver side courtesy switch shaft is pushed in 10 kΩ or higher
      D4-1 - Body ground Driver side courtesy switch shaft is free Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT)
