Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - NO. 1 CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR) 
    1. Disconnect the H16 HV control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the C3 No. 1 circuit breaker sensor connector.
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
    4. Measure the voltage between the terminals of the HV control ECU connector and body ground.

      Standard voltage 

      TERMINALS VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      AS1 (H16-15) - Body ground Below 1 V
      AS1G (H16-16) - Body ground Below 1 V

    5. Turn the power switch OFF.
    6. Measure the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance (Check for open) 

      TERMINALS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      AS1 (H16-15) - SIF+ (C3-2) Below 1 Ω
      AS1G (H16-16) - SIF- (C3-1) Below 1 Ω

      Standard resistance (Check for short) 

      TERMINALS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      AS1 (H16-15) or SIF+ (C3-2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      AS1G (H16-16) or SIF- (C3-1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    7. Reconnect the No. 1 circuit breaker sensor connector.
    8. Reconnect the HV control ECU connector.

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK : REPLACE NO. 1 CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR
