Inspection Procedure
HINT:
Start the inspection from step 1 when using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 when not using the hand-held tester.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER(ABS MOTOR RELAY)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the hand-held tester.
- Check the operation sound of the ABS motor individually when operating it with the hand-held tester.ACTIVE TEST

- NG: Go to step 2
- OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- INSPECT FUSE (ABS NO.2 FUSE)
- Remove the ABS No.2 fuse from the engine room R/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ABS NO. 2 FUSE RESISTANCE
.

- RECONFIRM DTC
- Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Drive the vehicle at a speed of 4 mph (6 km/h) or more.
- Are the same DTCs recorded?
HINT:
The skid control ECU inspects the motor relay circuit when the stop lamp switch is turned off and the vehicle is running at a speed of 4 mph (6 km/h) or more.
- NO: END
HINT:
These DTCs may be memorized due to a malfunction in the connector terminal connection, etc.
- YES: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
