Even after the trouble areas are repaired, the ABS warning light will not go off unless the following operations are performed.

• *1:
  1. Drive the vehicle at 12 mph (20 km/h) for 30 seconds or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
  2. Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
• *2:
  1. Keep the vehicle in a stationary condition for 5 seconds or more and depress the brake pedal lightly 2 or 3 times.
  2. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 31 mph (50 km/h). Then depress the brake pedal strongly for about 3 seconds.
  3. Repeat the above operations 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
  4. Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

HINT:

• In some cases, the hand-held tester cannot be used when the ABS warning light remains on.
• When U0073/94, U0123/62, U0124/95 or U0126/63 are output, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0073/94, U0123/62, U0124/95 or U0126/63 first.
