Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see
CALIBRATION ).
- INSPECT FUSE (ABS NO.1)
- Remove the ABS No.1 fuse from the engine room R/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
ABS NO 1 FUSE RESISTANCEABS No. 1 fuse Below 1 Ω(Continuity)
- NG: CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESS AND CONNECTOR CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS VOLTAGETester Connection Condition Specified Condition S1-31 (+BS)-Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (+BS CIRCUIT)
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS RESISTANCETester Connection Specified Condition S1-32 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- RECONFIRM DTC
HINT: These codes are detected when a problem is determined in the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy.
The ABS solenoid relay is in the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy.
Therefore, solenoid relay circuit inspection relay unit inspection cannot be performed. Be sure to check if the DTC code is output before replacing the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy.
- Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Are the same DTCs recorded?
- NO: END
HINT: These DTCs may be memorized due to a malfunction in the connector terminal.
- YES: GO TO NEXT STEP.
REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
