Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (DRIVER SIDE) 
    1. Disconnect the B6 connector from the front seat inner belt assy (Driver Side).
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard:

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B6-5-B6-6 Seat belt is fastened Below 1 Ω
      B6-5-B6-6 Seat belt is not fastened 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (DRIVER SIDE) 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (DRIVER SIDE) AND COMBINATION METER ASSY) (SEE  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ) 
    1. Disconnect the C9 and B6 connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard:

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C9-12-B6-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      C9-12 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B6-6 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

      REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY (SEE  COMBINATION METER ASSY  )
