DTC Check/Clear
- CHECK DTC (NOT USING HAND-HELD TESTER)
- Using SST, connect terminals Tc and CG of the DLC3.

- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Read the DTC from the ABS warning light on the combination meter.
HINT:
- If a code does not appear, inspect the diagnostic circuit or ABS warning light circuit (See ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT (REMAINS ON) or ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT (DOES NOT LIGHT UP) ).
- As examples, the blinking patterns for normal code and codes 11 and 21 are shown on the left.

If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed first.
- After completing the check, remove the SST from the DLC3.

- Using SST, connect terminals Tc and CG of the DLC3.
- CHECK DTC (USING HAND-HELD TESTER)
- Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.

- CLEAR DTC (NOT USING HAND-HELD TESTER)
- Using SST, connect terminals Tc and CG of the DLC3.

- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Clear DTC stored in ECU by depressing the brake pedal 8 or more times within 5 seconds.
- Check that the ABS warning light shows the normal code.
- Remove the SST from the DLC3.

HINT:
Disconnecting the battery cable during repairs will not erase the DTC in the ECU.
- Using SST, connect terminals Tc and CG of the DLC3.
- CLEAR DTC (USING HAND-HELD TESTER)
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Operate the hand-held tester to erase the codes.
