Inspection Procedure
HINT:
- If there is an open in the ground circuit (airbag sensor ECU), the airbag sensor ECU outputs DTCs. Perform troubleshooting with the supplemental restraint system. See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .
- INSPECT AIR BAG ECU ASSY
- Disconnect the A23 connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
AIR BAG ECU ASSY - VOLTAGE TABLETerminal No Condition Specified condition A23-13 - Body ground Ignition switch is ON 10 to 14 V NG: Go to step 3
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BETWEEN CLOCK ASSY AND AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE CLOCK ASSY (See step 4 on REPLACEMENT )
- INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE)
- Disconnect the B10 connector from the front seat inner belt assy (Passenger Side).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) - RESISTANCE TABLETerminal No Condition Specified condition B10-1 - B10-2 Seat belt is fastened Below 1 Ω NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE)
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BETWEEN FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) AND OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BETWEEN OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU AND AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
