Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT CLOCK ASSY 
    1. Remove the clock assy with the connector still connected.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage between terminal 20 (IG) of the clock assy connector and body ground.

      Standard: 10 to 14 V 

    4. Measure the voltage between terminal 4 (SW1) of the clock assy connector and body ground.

      Standard: 

    CLOCK ASSY - VOLTAGE TABLE

    Condition Voltage (V)
    INFO switch is pressed Below 1
    INFO switch is not pressed 5
    MODE/RSET switch is pressed 2.5
    MODE/RSET switch is not pressed 5

    OK: REPLACE CLOCK ASSY (See step 4 on  REPLACEMENT  ) 

    NG: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH 
    1. Remove the steering pad switch.
    2. Measure the resistance between terminals 8 (+DP) and 10 (EAU) of the steering pad switch connector.

      Standard: 

    STEERING PAD SWITCH - RESISTANCE TABLE

    Condition Resistance
    INFO switch is pressed Below 2.5 Ω
    INFO switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
    MODE/RSET switch is pressed 2.1 to 2.3 kΩ
    MODE/RSET switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
