Brake Booster: Removal
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH (See step 1 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH (See step 2 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER (See step 3 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (See step 4 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER
- Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and cowl top panel outer from the body.
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE BRAKE MASTER WITH PLATE CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY
SST 09023-00101
- DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY
- Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT BRAKE TUBE NO.5
- Using SST, remove front brake tube No.5.

- Using SST, remove front brake tube No.5.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (See step 18 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY (See step 20 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL (See step 38 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL (See step 28 under REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
- REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING
- Remove the brake pedal return spring.
- REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN
- Remove the clip and push rod pin.
- REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 4 nuts.
- Pull out the brake booster assembly.NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes and the wire harness.
- REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
