Problem Symptoms Table

If a normal code is indicated during the DTC check but the problem still occurs, check the circuits for each problem symptom in the order given in the table below.

NOTE:
  • When replacing brake actuator assembly, sensor or etc., turn the ignition switch OFF.
  • When replacing yaw rate sensor and/or the brake actuator assembly, make sure to perform yaw rate sensor zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK ).
PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE - ABS, VSC AND BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEMS

Symptoms Suspected Area
ABS does not operate
  1. Check the DTC that the normal code is output.
  2. IG power source circuit
  3. Speed sensor circuit
  4. Check the hydraulic circuit for leakage.
  5. When 1. to 4. are all normal and the problem still occurs, replace the brake actuator assembly.
ABS does not operate efficiently
  1. Check the DTC that the normal code is output.
  2. Speed sensor circuit
  3. Stop light switch circuit
  4. Check the hydraulic circuit for leakage.
  5. When 1. to 4. are all normal and the problem still occurs, replace the brake actuator assembly.
ABS warning light abnormal
  1. ABS warning light circuit
  2. Brake actuator assembly
BRAKE warning light abnormal
  1. BRAKE warning light circuit
  2. Brake actuator assembly
DTC check cannot be done
  1. ABS warning light circuit
