Inspection Procedure

Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between skid control ECU and ECM (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
1. NG: Repair or replace harness and connector.
2. OK: Go To Next Step.
Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between terminal E1 of ECM and body ground (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
PREPARATION:
1. Remove the glove compartment (see COMPONENTS ).
2. Disconnect the ECM from the heater control assembly.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
CHECK:

Measure the resistance between terminal E1 of the ECM connector and body ground.

OK:

Resistance: Below 1 Ω

1. NG: Repair or replace harness and connector.
2. OK: Replace brake actuator assembly.
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform the zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK ).
