Body Outside Moulding (Sedan): Removal

  1. w/ Front spoiler: 

    REMOVE FRONT SPOILER (See  FRONT BUMPER (SEDAN)  ) 

    1. Remove the 2 screws and the fender liner.
    2. Remove the 3 nuts and 2 bolts from the front bumper cover.
    3. Remove the 3 clips and front bumper extension.
  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING 
    1. Remove the fender liner.
    2. Remove the bolt and 3 screws.
    3. Using a heat light, heat the moulding between 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    4. Cut the adhesive tape using a knife.
      NOTE: Do not damage the body.
    5. Remove the moulding.

  3. 2-door vehicle: 

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING 

    1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding between 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Cut the adhesive tape with a knife.
      NOTE:
      • If reusing the moulding, take care not to damage the moulding.
      • Do not damage the body.
    3. Remove the moulding.

  4. 4-door vehicle: 

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING 

    1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding between 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Cut the adhesive tape using a knife.
      NOTE:
      • If reusing the moulding, take care not to damage the moulding.
      • Do not damage the body.
    3. Remove the moulding.

  5. 4-door vehicle: 

    REMOVE REAR DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING 

    1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding to 20 - 30°C (68 - 86°F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Cut the adhesive tape using a knife.
      NOTE: Do not damage the body.
    3. Remove the moulding.

  6. 2-door vehicle: 

    REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE REAR MOULDING 

    1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding between 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Cut the adhesive tape using a knife.
      NOTE: Do not damage the body.
    3. Remove the moulding.

  7. 4-door vehicle: 

    REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE REAR MOULDING 

    1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding between 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Cut the adhesive tape using a knife.
      NOTE: Do not damage the body.
    3. Remove the moulding.

  8. w/ Side mudguard: 

    REMOVE SIDE MUDGUARD 

    1. Remove the 4 bolts and side mudguard No. 2 retainer.
    2. Remove the 3 bolts and screw.
    3. 2-door vehicle:

      Using a heat light, heat the moulding between 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F).

      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    4. 2-door vehicle:

      Cut the adhesive tape using a knife.

      NOTE: Do not damage the body.
    5. Remove the moulding.
