Body Outside Moulding (Sedan): Installation

  1. w/ Side mudguard: 

    INSTALL SIDE MUDGUARD 

    1. 2-door vehicle:

      Clean the body mounting surface.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface between 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F).
        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the 4 bolts and side mudguard No. 2 retainer.
    3. Install the side mudguard.
      1. 2-door vehicle:

        Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. 2-door vehicle:

        Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.

        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust adheres the uncoated area.
      3. Install the 3 bolts and screw.
      4. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body and press firmly on the moulding.
    NOTE: Do not apply excessive force onto the moulding, but steady pressure with your thumbs.
  2. 4-door vehicle: 

    INSTALL QUARTER OUTSIDE REAR MOULDING 

    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface between 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F).
        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the quarter outside rear moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust adheres to the uncoated area.

      3. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body and press firmly on the moulding.
      NOTE: Do not apply excessive force onto the moulding, but steady pressure with your thumbs.
  3. 2-door vehicle: 

    INSTALL QUARTER OUTSIDE REAR MOULDING 

    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface between 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F).
        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the quarter outside rear moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust adheres the uncoated area.

      3. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body and press firmly on the moulding.

  4. 4-door vehicle: 

    INSTALL REAR DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING 

    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface between 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F).
        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the rear door lower outside moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust adheres to the uncoated area.

      3. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body, and press firmly on the moulding.

  5. 4-door vehicle: 

    INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING 

    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface between 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F).
        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the front door lower outside moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.

  6. 2-door vehicle: 

    INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING 

    1. Clean the body mounting surface.

        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the front door lower outside moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust adheres to the uncoated area.

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER OUTSIDE MOULDING 
    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface between 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F).
        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the front fender moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        Body: 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) 

        Moulding: 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) 

        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      2. Remove the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust adheres to the uncoated area.

      3. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body, and press firmly on the moulding.
        NOTE: Do not apply excessive force onto the moulding, but steady pressure with your thumbs.
      4. Install the 3 screws.
    3. Install the fender liner.
  8. w/ Front spoiler: 

    INSTALL FRONT SPOILER (See  FRONT BUMPER (SEDAN)  )
