Curtain Shield Air Bag ASSY LH: Replacement

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

1. PRECAUTION (see  SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM  ) 
2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
   CAUTION: After removing the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.
3. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY (see  REPLACEMENT  ) 
4. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSY LH 
   1. Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assy LH.
      NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
   2. Remove the 3 bolts, 6 screws, clip and the curtain shield airbag assy LH.

5. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSY LH (see  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ) 
6. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSY LH 
   1. Install the curtain shield airbag assy LH with the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE: Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assy LH.
   2. Install the 6 screws and the clip.
   3. Connect the connector to the curtain shield airbag assy LH.
   NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

7. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSY (see  REPLACEMENT  ) 
8. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (see  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  )
