Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see
CALIBRATION ).
HINT: Start the inspection from step 1 when using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 when not using the hand-held tester.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the "VSC/BR WARN BUZ" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the skid control buzzer by the hand-held tester.ACTIVE TEST

OK: The skid control buzzer sounds in accordance with operation of the hand-held tester.
- NG: Go to step 2
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY
- Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
- Apply a battery positive voltage to terminals 1 and 2 of the skid control buzzer connector, and check that the buzzer sounds.
OK: The skid control buzzer sound should be heard.
- NG: REPLACE BUZZER ASSY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL BUZZER - SKID CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector and the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL BUZZER AND SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS RESISTANCETester Connection Specified Condition S1-30(BZ)-V6-1 (BZ) Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL BUZZER AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCETester Connection Specified Condition S1-30 (BZ) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
