Combination Meter ASSY: Overhaul

HINT:

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (SEE  PRECAUTION  ) 

    Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.1 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.2 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE (W/O SMART KEY SYSTEM) 
    1. Remove the instrument panel finish plate.

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 4 claws and 6 clips then remove the instrument panel sub-assy.

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY CENTER (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Using a molding remover, disengage the 5 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assy.

  8. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.
    2. Pull out the combination meter assy, then disconnect the connectors.

  9. REMOVE COMBINATION METER GLASS 
    1. Disengage the 8 claws and remove the combination meter glass.

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE  INITIALIZATION  ) 

    Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
