Speed Sensor Front LH: Replacement

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
3. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH 
   1. Disconnect the speed sensor connector and clamp.

   2. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the speed sensor harness from the body and shock absorber assy.
   3. Remove the clamp from the steering knuckle.

   4. Remove the bolt and the speed sensor front LH.
      NOTE:

      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
      • Clean the installation hole and surface for the speed sensor every time the speed sensor is removed.

4. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH 
   1. Install the speed sensor front LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.

   2. Install the sensor harness brackets with the 2 bolts to the body and shock absorber assy.

      Torque: 

      Bolt A: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) 

      Bolt B: 19 N.m (192 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) 

   3. Connect the clamp to the steering knuckle.
      NOTE: Do not twist the wire harness for speed sensor front LH when installing the speed sensor.

   4. Connect the speed sensor connector and clamp.

5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

   Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf) 

7. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (SEE  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM - ABS WITH EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC SYSTEM  OR  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM - ABS WITH EBD  )
