Parking Brake Cable ASSY No.4: Replacement

REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX UPPER
REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.4
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Hold the nut on the parking brake cable assy No.1 using a wrench. Loosen and disconnect the turnbuckle from the parking brake cable assy No.1 using a wrench.

3. Slide the boot as shown in the illustration.

4. Remove the parking brake cable assy No.4 from the parking brake equalizer as shown in the illustration.

INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.4
1. Install the parking brake cable assy No.4 to the parking brake equalizer as shown in the illustration.

2. Slide the boot back as shown in the illustration.

3. Hold the nut on the parking brake cable assy No.1 using a wrench. Tighten the turnbuckle of the parking brake cable assy No.4 using a wrench.
  Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in. lbf)
