Diagnosis System

  1. BUS CHECK 

    HINT:

    The ECUs and sensors that are properly connected to the CAN communication system can be displayed using the hand-held tester via CAN VIM.

    1. Select "BUS CHECK" from the "OBD/MOBD MENU" screen.

    2. Press "ENTER" on the hand-held tester via CAN VIM.

    3. The screen displays the ECUs and sensors that are properly connected to the CAN communication system.

      HINT:

      There is a communication stop in the system of any properly connected ECUs or sensors that are not displayed (see CHECK CAN BUS LINE ).

  2. CHECK FOR INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS & SENSORS) THAT ADOPT CAN COMMUNICATION 
    1. Systems (ECUs, sensors) that adopt CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs, sensors) are installed on the vehicle.
      ECU/SENSOR NAME

      ECU/Sensor name Check method
      Skid control ECU Installed on all vehicles.
      Steering sensor Installed on all vehicles.
      Yaw rate sensor Installed on all vehicles.
      ECM Installed on all vehicles.
      Distance control ECU (1) The millimeter wave laser sensor is installed on the front of the vehicle.
      Gateway ECU Installed on all vehicles.
      (1) w/Dynamic laser cruise control system only.
