Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Toyota Tundra and 2005 Toyota Tundra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION  .
  1. Check sensor installation. 

    CHECK: 

    Check that the yaw rate & deceleration sensor has been installed properly.

    OK: 

    The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque. 

    The sensor should not be tilted. 

    1. NG: Install yaw rate & deceleration sensor correctly. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between PNP switch (P position) (A/T), or parking brake switch (M/T) and master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU). 
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector (P circuit: A/T, Parking brake switch circuit: M/T). 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. Check if zero point calibration of the yaw rate & deceleration sensor has been done. 

    CHECK: 

    Perform zero point CALIBRATION  .

    1. NEXT: Go to next step. 
  4. Reconfirm DTC (See  DTC CHECK / CLEAR   ). 

    PREPARATION: 

    Clear the DTCs.

    CHECK: 

    Check if the same DTCs are detected.

    RESULT: 

    DTC OUTPUT RESULT

    DTC is output A
    DTC is not output B
    1. B: END. 
    2. A: Replace master cylinder solenoid (See  CALIBRATION   ).
