Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION
.
- Check brake fluid level.
CHECK:
Check the amount of fluid in the brake reservoir.
OK:
Brake fluid level is proper.
- NG: Check and repair brake fluid leakage and add fluid.
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check brake fluid level warning switch.
PREPARATION:
Disconnect the brake fluid level warning switch connector B2.
CHECK:
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
OK:

HINT:
- A float is placed inside the reservoir. Its position can be changed by increasing/decreasing the level of brake fluid.
- The warning switch is switched ON/OFF at +/- 5 mm from the MIN level.
- NG: Replace brake fluid reservoir.
HINT:
After the step 2, adjust the brake fluid level to the maximum level.
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check harness and connector between brake fluid level warning switch and master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU), brake fluid level warning switch and body ground.
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK: Go to next step.
- Reconfirm DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
PREPARATION:
Clear the DTCs.
CHECK:
Check if the same DTCs are detected.
RESULT:
DTC OUTPUT RESULTDTC is output A DTC is not output B - B: END.
- A: Replace master cylinder solenoid (See DISASSEMBLY ).
